End of the year gift for a teacher

My son helped design the card for his teacher

And I altered a tin box to hold a gift card and a few mini chocolates

Ride 'em Cowgirl

I am starting to get caught up on layouts for the kids' books.  This one is of my DD at about 18 months when she loved riding her horsey.

I used my the Mickey font for the "Ride 'em", PDDU for the hat and spurs, and Stone Script for the "Cowgirl".  My poor Cricut has glitter all over it still from that paper!  :)

I pop-dotted the spurs for dimension.  You can't really see it in the pic, but they are cut from a metallic silver paper.

I love the rope.  All I did was coil up some cording and tacked it on with some Crystal Effects

I chalked the hat for a little more depth, then pop dotted it too.

Lucy Card

My friend at work (who loves Lucy) is having a birthday!

I printed a picture of her in the Vitameatavegamin episode and used it as the centerpiece of the card.  I chalked her hair and colored her lips for some pop.

I had a birthday stamp set that included a quote by Lucille Ball so I used it on the front for the sentiment.

Xmas treats

I had so much fun doing my Kindergartner's class Halloween party! I can"t WAIT to do his winter holiday party.  I have already started making the treat packs for his classmates!

I saw the Santa on SCS in one of the galleries and thought to myself, "self... you can make those!!!"  So I did :)  I have made the sour cream packets before but not for xmas.  I thought this would be cute!

Christmas Tags

I thought I would make gift tags this year.   I still have more to make, but this is what I have so far:

My cousin and his wife are having their first baby!!  The shower is coming up and I made this card to go along with the gift.  Unfortunately, I cannot be there in person so I hope this makes up for my absence.

It is a star book card in multicolor pastel.  I cut each of the hanging objects from New Arrival at various sizes - mostly around 3 1/2 inches.

I had to use gender neutral colors because mommy won't reveal the gender of the little bundle of joy!!

Christmas cards!

Nollaig Shona!  Its Gaelic for Merry Christmas

I love how this turned out. I think it looks quite sophisticated.  Christmassy yet non traditional.  I saw one done like this on another website and I fell in love with it.  I knew I had to recreate it.  I don't remember what website it was though or who the original artist was.

Frosty the Snowman was a super cute card!

A very simple card but I thought it turned out cute.

Christmas tree card.  Another fairly simple card but I like it!

This one is for my son's Kindergarten teacher.
