wedding invitation

Ok so here is a rough draft of the invitations I am doing for my brother's wedding.  The background is the Farquharson Tartan paper that I had specially made for.

They will all be in a Celtic font  (below) as it is a Scottish wedding.

Mr & Mrs

this is another page for the wedding album i am putting together.  It is a little hard to read, but it says "Mr & Mrs".  I used lots of cricut on it.... mostly the leaves and branches around the roses... also the letters and the flourishes

I went back and added a shadow behind the Mr & Mrs.  It needed to pop more.

I love these swirly flourishes!

the cake

this is another page for the wedding album I am making for my brother and future sis in law.  I found this cake sticker and loved it so I made the flowers on the page mimic the ones on the sticker.

The groom

My brother is getting married!!  (finally)  And I am making a wedding album for him and his fiancee.  They are having a Scottish wedding and I found a place that prints Tartan scrapbook paper!  This is the first layout I have so far...
I "pleated" the tartan paper to look like a kilt.  I love how it turned out!!

Ok so I went back and added a sporran to this.  I thought it needed something else to really make it perfect.
I cut out 2 of the "pouch" pieces and flocked the top one.  then pop dotted it to give it a little dimension.  I left the "flap" piece plain to sort of resemble leather.  I popped that one too - so its 3 layers.  i added a few silver "metal" studs and i made some tassels out of embroidery floss.  I inked the thread to darken it too.  All I need to do is add a chain and I am done!

The Ravioli Incident

My DD just learned how to feed herself with a spoon.  (Break out the drop cloths!!!)  Her first solo meal was mini ravioli - and this was the outcome.  Her face was entirely orange, she has little chunks of ravioli meat in her hair and even sauce behind her ears!!  So I am not sure if this was a success or what?!  Well anyway. it made me think of the Guns-n-Roses album "The Spaghetti Incident" and I thought that would be a cute title - changed to "Ravioli".
