I had so much fun doing my Kindergartner's class Halloween party! I can"t WAIT to do his winter holiday party. I have already started making the treat packs for his classmates!
I saw the Santa on SCS in one of the galleries and thought to myself, "self... you can make those!!!" So I did :) I have made the sour cream packets before but not for xmas. I thought this would be cute!

I thought I would make gift tags this year. I still have more to make, but this is what I have so far:

My cousin and his wife are having their first baby!! The shower is coming up and I made this card to go along with the gift. Unfortunately, I cannot be there in person so I hope this makes up for my absence.
It is a star book card in multicolor pastel. I cut each of the hanging objects from New Arrival at various sizes - mostly around 3 1/2 inches.

I had to use gender neutral colors because mommy won't reveal the gender of the little bundle of joy!!

Christmas cards!
Nollaig Shona! Its Gaelic for Merry Christmas
I love how this turned out. I think it looks quite sophisticated. Christmassy yet non traditional. I saw one done like this on another website and I fell in love with it. I knew I had to recreate it. I don't remember what website it was though or who the original artist was.
Frosty the Snowman was a super cute card!
A very simple card but I thought it turned out cute.
Christmas tree card. Another fairly simple card but I like it!
This one is for my son's Kindergarten teacher.

Cupcake Toppers!!!
My mom is a member of a local quilting club in her hometown, and she is in charge of refreshments for an upcoming meeting. She and I were discussing it and I suggested cupcakes. I told her I could do picks for the tops and we came up with a cute design that I think is pretty appropriate for the venue!!
I cut the scissors and the thread from the Disney Princesses cartridge on my cricut (Happily Ever After) They are on the Icon feature. The scissors were cut at 1.43 inches and the thread/spool/needles cut at 1.13 inches. I ended up stickling the needle with silver stickles because there was no way to cut out a silver needle by itself. The gluing was a bit tedious with that microscopic thread portion, but I think they came out really nicely!

Wedding Card
My cousin is getting married in September!! Unfortunately I will not be able to attend, as she is being married half way across the country :) But I have begun the card that I will be sending her. I have not put any sentiments or greetings on its yet, I am still trying to decide which one(s) to use :)
I wanted to use a different shape for this card instead of the standard rectangle or square. So I welded some shapes together and made the flaps for the front. I think it turned out pretty well

I keep finding cute stuff to make!
I was perusing Splitcoaststampers.com and looking at some of their cute tutorials when I came across this adorable chocolate treat box. These would be so great for birthday party treats or even wedding favors! This is the one I did to try it out:

Patriotic Cards
I am making some cards for Operation Write Home. They provide blank cards to servicemembers that are in Iraq and Afghanistan so they can write home. I started a few today and plan on making a lot more.
I am leaving sentiments and greetings off of these. I figure they can be used for a holiday like the 4th of July or just for general use.

Picture Frame
I had this plain white craft-it-yourself photo frame sitting on my shelf for the longest time and last night I finally got sick of looking at it. So I found this gorgeous paper with velvety flocked flowers and vines on it and though that it would be great to cover it with. I added a simple black ribbon with a little bow on the bottom to finish it. I think it turned out elegant, yet simple.

A Couple of cards
With Mother's Day just around the corner I thought it would be a good idea to make a card for my mom and for my mother-in-law. I made them almost identical so I will just post one. I kept it very simple. I used the Gypsy font for the "mom" , plantin schoolbook for the leaves and home accents for the swirly things. :)
The next one is an anniversary card for my grandfather and his wife. I used Calligraphy Collection for the greeting and home accents again for the flourishes.

At the Movies
I took my son to the movies a few weeks ago to see Rango. It was his first time seeing a movie in a theater and it was kind-of a bonding thing for us because we went without his little sister. Just a "mommy & me" type of day. We got a giant popcorn, sodas and peanut butter cups and had a fantastic time. We are going to make it a regular thing. :)
Anyway, I thought this would be cute for a layout. I cut the "film" from the Mickey and Friends cartridge (Cricut) and the title was a mix of Plantin Schoolbook and Opposites Attract. I also made the film reel from the circle on Plantin. The curtain was 2 inch strips of paper scored at 1/2 inch from each side to make it more 3D. I used round punches to shape the bottom ends of each strip to create the look of a hanging curtain. The popcorn box and tickets came from a Jolee's set - not stickers... idk what you would call them.... just embellishments I guess. But the "popcorn" that came in it was really 3D and really hard - like plastic. So I took out the plastic piece and balled up some yellow tissue paper squares I had and stuck them on with double sided tape and glue dots.

Note Cards
Just playing around tonight. I found some green paper that looked nice with some pink and green patterned paper I had so I thought I would throw together some little note cards. I will probably make a box for them and give them as a gift or something. who knows!! :)
I used the same flower from Mickey and Friends as I did on the invitations and the leaf punch too. I spritzed them with glimmer mist as well but this time I just used one larger pearl in the center.

Shower invitations
Ok I am finally getting all the pictures from my phone transferred to the computer, so I now have photos of the bridal shower invitations that I did a couple of weeks ago.
They are Easel cards and I used the flower icon cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge and layered it 5 times. Spritzed them with glimmer mist and stuck a few pearls on there! The leaves are a MS punch.
